However the most likely reason the phone layout and everything looks different is because the software is newer or older than the one you had before. You can update to the newest software if you hook your curve up to your computer and using desktop manager you can update it. Just click application loader, and then update device software and let it do its thing. hope this helps!!ps- dnt unplug or interuppt your blackberry while the software is being downloaded, it will nuke your phone and left it completly unusable!

Which blackberry curve did you have beorfe? There is a chance that they have given you a blackberry curve 8520 instead of a curve 9300, as the two look almost exactly the same. However there is also the possibility that they have just given you a phone with old software. To update your blackberry software go to menu> options > advanced options > wireless update. This should update your new blackberry to the most recent software.
